How Much Does it Cost?

I offer a free telephone call to help you decide if you would like an appointment - please ask me if you would like an initial telephone consultation.

All sessions are 50 mins to an hour long.

Payment per face to face session is £40 for individuals

and £60 for couples.

Skype sessions £40

Telephone sessions £30

Email counselling also available, please ask me if you are interested in this option as costs vary.

Interested in longer or shorter sessions? - please feel free to ask.

Sometimes cancellations happen. I aim to be as fair as possible and charge a full session fee only if the cancellation is made within 24 hours or the client does  not attend their appointment.

Everyone is different. Some people may only need between 4 and 8 sessions to feel they are back on track. Others really benefit from the relationship of trust which is built up over a longer period of time. We will discuss your needs together and between us we will decide how many sessions you may like to start out with.

We will work at a pace which suits you; It is helpful to check progress as we go along so that we can evaluate where we are in terms of your goals and your overall satisfaction with the counselling and decide from there how best to proceed. It is important to me that our work together is purposeful and benefitting you. I will not let counselling 'drag on' unnecessarily (at your expense!) nor will I cut it abruptly short. Taking care over planned endings is an important part of therapy.

What if I have to cancel an appointment?

What Happens on a first session?

The first session is an opportunity for you to meet me in person, ask me questions about counselling and find out if you feel comfortable talking to me. It is also a chance to get  to know the location and setting. During the initial session I will ask you to tell me more about your reasons for coming for counselling and from this first discussion I will begin to form an idea of the sort of things that might be helpful for you, I will share my thoughts with you and we can agree on what the main issues are and how best to proceed. By the end of the session you will have a chance to make a further appointment or you may wish to go away and think about things before commiting to counselling.

Any other questions? - just ask

and I will be happy to help.
